As one of our first commissions, Restella House will always have a special place in the ESD family.
Our clients approached us in early 2011 to design their dream house on a block of land the family had owned for many years. They wanted something that was in keeping with the local streetscape yet was contemporary and met with their needs. Our proposed design emulated the old clad beach cottages that are still scatter through-out the area. We had to take into account the minimum floor level demanded by the flood zone that the site was situated in which governed the end result of front facade and garage
The design revolves around the open plan entertaining areas that connect to suspended timber decks and concrete swimming pool to the rear. ESD detailed all bathroom areas and kitchen for the clients to ensure the design intent flowed through-out the home.
